"‘Til tonight I couldn't see just why the Lord would want me because I have not had fitting training for the work so far but the Lord has given me an irresistible desire to take the Gospel to those who have never heard of His love."

Handwritten and signed letter. Paper, 5" x 7", 5 pages. Stamped "Jan. 15, 1945," written sometime between January 1 and 15, 1945. From Sergeant Nate Saint, while he was serving in United States Air Force, to Elizabeth Green of the Christian Airman’s Missionary Fellowship (CAMF). On New Year's Eve, Saint read an article about the CAMF’s plans to provide aviation services to foreign missions and he was writing to express his desire to join them. CAMF soon became Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) and Saint flew for them in Mexico and Ecuador. From BGC Archives, Collection 136, Box 2, Folder 7.
